Gigi Edgley (born November 16, 1977 , Perth , Western Australia ) is an Australian actress , best known for her role as Chiana in the science fiction series Farscape .
biography
Gigi Edgley is the daughter of MBE Michael Edgley and former Miss Australia Jeni Edgley. In 1998 she received her Bachelor of Arts from Queensland University of Technology .
Edgley had her first role in 1998 in the docu-drama The Day of the Roses about the Granville train wreck near Sydney in 1977. This was followed by guest appearances on various Australian television series.
From 1999 to 2003 Edgley played one of the leading roles in Farscape and in the final miniseries Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars 2004. This engagement brought her, among other things, a 2002 nomination for the Saturn Award for best supporting actress in a television series.
From 2009 to 2011 she had one of the leading roles in the Australian television series Rescue: Special Ops .
