Gilles II. De Trazegnies

Gilles II. De Trazegnies († 1204 ) was a lord of Trazegnies (now Courcelles in Belgium ) and Silly and hereditary connétable of the Counts of Flanders . He was the son of Othon II. De Trazegnies († 1192).

He took part in the Fourth Crusade from 1202 , but broke away with others during the siege of Zara from the main army in order to move directly to the Levant . There the crusaders supported the prince of Antioch in the fight against the Armenians, whereby Gilles was killed.

With his wife Aleide de Boulaere, Gilles had the following children:
