The Gillies Rock is an isolated and 1,185  m high rock formation in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the northern Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises 10 km north of Mount Dasinger .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the American amateur radio operator Betty Huyler Gillies (1909-1998), who between 1960 and 1970 for the radio communication of members of the field research teams of the United States Geological Survey, which among other things was active in the Thiel Mountains , to the United States.
