Gina V. D'Orio

Gina V. D'Orio (* 23. September 1976 in Berlin as Gina Vaporjieff-D'Orio ) is a German musician and producer . She played with the bands Lemonbabies , Throw That Beat in The Garbagecan! , EC8OR and is a member of Cobra Killer .

life and work

After D'Orio left the Lemonbabies in 1992, she took part with the indie band Throw That Beat in The Garbagecan! the album Superstar and went on a world tour. In 1995 Gina D'Orio founded the band EC8OR with Patric Catani (including Candie Hank, The Puppetmastaz ) . Between 1995 and 2001 the band recorded four albums, which they released in Japan and the United States, among others, and toured around the world. The two former EC8OR members are still collaborating, including under the name A * Class .

In 1998 Gina D'Orio and Annika Line Trost (former member of Shizuo ) founded the band Cobra Killer , which has so far released five albums on different labels ( Digital Hardcore Recordings , Monika Enterprise , Valve). With the Dutchman Like A Tim , D'Orio produced the mini album Bass Girl , released in 2004 , on which songs from the 1960s are covered. Her solo album Sailor Songs was released in the same year . She is involved in various theater and radio play projects.

D'Orio was briefly a member of Atari Teenage Riot , she played (live) guitar on the rare tape Live In Stuttgart (One-Off Shit Let's Go!) .
