Ginjo Ganew

Ginjo Gotschew Ganew (also Ginyo Gochev Ganev , Bulgarian Гиньо Гочев Ганев ; born March 2, 1928 in Burgas ; † December 18, 2016 ) was a Bulgarian politician. He was Bulgaria's first ombudsman between April 13, 2005 and October 20, 2010 .

Ginjo Ganew was born in the Bulgarian port city of Burgas, where he was educated. He then completed a degree in law and constitutional law at the Kliment Ochridski University in Sofia . In 1977 Ganev was elected to the National Council of the Patriotic Front in Bulgaria and remained a member until 1989. Between 1986 and 1990 he was a member of the State Council of the People's Republic of Bulgaria . Ganew was a member of the People's Assembly of the People's Republic of Bulgaria from 1976 to 1990, a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria from 1990 to 2005 and a member of the 7th Grand National Assembly . In 2003 Ganew was awarded the "Stara Planina" order by President Georgi Parvanov .

Ginjo Ganew was married to Maria, the daughter of Kimon Georgiev . With her he had two sons.
