Above all, Bixio had a talent for musical comedy, which he demonstrated at Promesse promesse by Garinei and Giovannini alongside Johnny Dorelli and Cathérine Spaak, as well as at the Decamerone alongside Sylva Koscina in the early 1970s . Between 1973 and 1976 he worked at the dialect theater alongside Carlo Dapporto , Anna Caroli and Titti Benvenuto , with whom he carried Govi's legacy to the cities of Italy. The play Anche le figlie di Maria portano i jeans , in which he was cast alongside Erminio Macario , was his last stage.

Bixio rarely played for the film; his few appearances took place as a character actor. He was married twice; after Ida Bartoletti with the dancer Luisa Amorosi.
