Giovanni Andrea Fioroni

Giovanni Andrea Fioroni also Giovanni Andrea Fiorone and Giovanni Andrea Florono (* 1716 in Pavia , † December 19, 1778 in Milan ) was an Italian composer .

Life

Fioroni was probably by Leonardo Leo in Naples in the counterpoint taught. In 1747 he won the competition for the position of maestro di cappella advertised at the Milan Cathedral . He also worked at other churches in the city as well as in Como and Vimercate . On November 24, 1765, Fioroni was accepted into the Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna .

Carlo Monza , Quirino Gasparini and Alessandro Rolla were among his many students .
