Giovanni Battista Grone
Giovanni Battista Grone , also Grones (* 1682 in Venice ; † May 10, 1748 in Dresden ), was an Italian theater painter , set designer and architect who can be assigned to the Baroque .
Among other things, he painted the inner dome of the Dresden Frauenkirche .
From 1719 Grone lived in Dresden at the court of Elector August the Strong . In 1740 he became a court set designer and court architect.
