Giovanni Calabria
Giovanni Calabria (born October 8, 1873 in Verona , Italy ; † December 4, 1954 there ) was an Italian priest and founder of the order . He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church .
Life
Giovanni founded the Poor Servants of Divine Providence and the Poor Servants of Divine Providence one after the other as separate communities (Italian: Poveri Servi della Divina Provvidenza or Poveri Serve della Divina Provvidenza , Latin: Congregatio Pauperum Servorum Divinae Providentiae ) ( Order Abbreviation : PSDP ). He dedicated himself to the poor and disadvantaged in society.
Giovanni Calabria by Pope John Paul II. April 17, 1988 blessed and on April 18, 1999 canonized . His feast day in the liturgy is December 4th .
