Career

Since 1996 she has formed a permanent duo with Annamaria Solazzi , who won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Pescara . The following year, Bruschini / Solazzi won the title for the first time in Riccione with a win in the final against their compatriots Daniela Gattelli and Lucilla Perrotta . At the first World Cup they finished ninth in the same year. After a third place in Rhodes in 1998 , they celebrated their second European Championship title in Rhodes in 1999 (final against the French Prawerman / Rigaux ), which they successfully defended a year later in Getxo with a win against Jana Vollmer and Danja Müsch . At the 1999 World Cup , they finished 17th.

The 2000 Olympic tournament ended for Bruschini / Solazzi in the quarter-finals against the Australian duo Cook / Pottharst . They were also fifth at the 2001 World Cup after a quarter-final defeat against the Czech Celbová / Nováková . Two years later, however, they failed in Rio de Janeiro without winning a set in the preliminary round. At the 2004 European Championships , Bruschini / Solazzi finished fifth. At the end of the year, the duo split. Bruschini competed at the 2005 World Cup with Diletta Lunardi , but did not get past 25th place.
