Lucilla Perrotta (born June 3, 1975 in Rome ) is a former Italian beach volleyball player .

Career

Perrotta finished third at the first European championship in Espinho in 1994 with Cristiana Parenzan . In 1996 Perrotta played her first international tournament with Daniela Gattelli . The following year the Italians finished 17th at the first World Cup . At the European Championships in Riccione, they were only defeated by their compatriots Laura Bruschini and Annamaria Solazzi in the final . In 1999 they finished the World Championships in Marseille and the European Championships in Palma in 13th place. In the 2000 Olympic tournament , they qualified through the losers' round for the round of 16, which they lost to the Americans May / McPeak . In the same round they failed at the 2001 World Cup against Youngs / Fontana .

In 2002 in Basel Gattelli / Perrotta celebrated their greatest success when they became European champions in the final against Rebekka Kadijk and Marrit Leenstra .
