Sanderson, who was now active with Angela Clarke , missed the Olympic Games in her home country in June 2000 with a knee injury . When she was fit again in 2002, she formed a new duo with Annette Huygens Tholen .

The following year she got together with her long-time partner Natalie Cook . Sanderson / Cook achieved third place at the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro with a win against the Americans Jordan / Davis . When they took part in the 2004 Olympic tournament , they narrowly missed the bronze medal by losing to the US duo McPeak / Youngs . Both players were restricted by shoulder health problems. In the same year they won the Australian championship. After they failed to qualify for the 2005 World Cup , they ended their careers together a year later.
