Giovanni Carlo Clari
Giovanni Carlo Maria Clari (born September 27, 1677 in Pisa , † May 16, 1754 ibid) was an Italian conductor and composer .
Giovanni Clari received his training from Giovanni Paolo Colonna, who was then Kapellmeister at S.Petronio in Bologna . In 1712 Clari received the position of Kapellmeister in Pistoia , in 1720 in Bologna and finally at the cathedral in Pisa. One of his students was Francesco Zannetti .
His chamber music works made him known already during his lifetime , he also created two operas Il Savio delirante (1695 Bologna), several oratorios and other sacred vocal works.
