Giovanni Kotchev (born May 30, 1999 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Kotchev began his career at Baden AC . In 2008 he moved to SKN St. Pölten . In 2012 he came to AKA St. Pölten . In 2013 he moved to the academy of FC Admira Wacker Mödling . In January 2016 he moved to Germany to join the youth team at 1. FC Union Berlin .

In January 2018 he returned to Austria and switched to the regional division SC Neusiedl am See . He made his debut in the Regionalliga in March 2018 when he came on as a substitute for Marcel Szikonya in the 68th minute against SV Schwechat on matchday 21 of the 2018/19 season . In the game that Neusiedl won 2-1, Kotchev scored the goal to make it 2-0.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second division club SV Horn . He made his debut in the second division in July 2018 when he came on as a substitute for Mehdi Hetemaj in the 83rd minute against FC Liefering on the first match day of that season . After the 2018/19 season he left Horn and moved to the regional league team FC Mauerwerk .
