Giro d'Italia Femminile 2010

The 21st Giro d'Italia Femminile took place from July 2nd to July 11th 2010. He led over 1,100 kilometers in 10 stages plus the prologue over 3 km. After four stage wins for Ina-Yoko Teutenberg ( Muggia - Triest over 58 km, Caerano S. Marco-Biadene over 16.9 km, Ficarolo - Lendinara over 90 km), Marianne Vos won two (Orta S. Giulio- Pettenasco over 122 km, Gallarate - Arcisate 116 km). Evelyn Stevens won the 7th stage from Como to Albese Con Cassano over 110.8 km. The 8th stage led from Chiavenna via St. Moritz to the Bernina Pass at 2328 m above sea level to Livigno to the stage destination (winner Mara Abbott ). The climax was the mountain arrival on the Stilfserjoch on the 9th stage, which led the field to over 2700 m above sea level (winner again Mara Abbott). The final stage with the start in the Autodromo from Monza to Monza over 115 km won the American Shelly Evans .

American Mara Abbott won the overall standings ahead of Judith Arndt and Tatiana Guderzo . The mountain classification was won by Emma Pooley in front of Mara Abbot and Tatiana Guderzo. The points classification and the jersey of the best young driver won Marianne Vos.
