Gisela Engeln-Müllges

Gisela Engeln-Müllges (born March 2, 1940 in Leipzig ) is a German author and mathematician .

Life

Gisela Engeln-Müllges is a former professor at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences (FH Aachen) for numerical mathematics and data processing . She held this position from 1982 until she retired in 2005.

From 1991 to 2005 she was Vice Rector for Research, Development and Technology Transfer. Since January 2008 she has been a member of the University Council of the FH Aachen, since March 2008 she has been Chairwoman of the University Council of the FH Münster . Since January 2013 she has held the office of deputy chairwoman of the University Council of the FH Aachen.

She studied and did her doctorate at RWTH Aachen University , where she also worked as a senior engineer and academic senior councilor before her appointment at the FH Aachen.

In 1997 she was appointed to the Science Council by the then Federal President Roman Herzog .

Private

Engeln-Müllges grew up in Leipzig and fled to the West shortly before the Wall was built . Her father was a butcher , her grandmother was Italian . Most recently she was the partner of the artist and former dean of the design department at the FH, Benno Werth , who died in 2015 for 20 years .

Engeln-Müllges lives in Aachen - Lichtenbusch .
