Gisela Oeri

Gisela "Gigi" Oeri (born Trefzer ; born November 8, 1955 in Schopfheim , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German - Swiss billionaire wife and patron .

The trained physiotherapist is married to Andreas Oeri , son of Jakob Oeri-Hoffmann and co-heir of the Basel pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche . According to the business magazine Bilanz , the Hoffmann and Oeri families are the richest Swiss.

In October 1999 Oeri joined FC Basel as a patron and member of the board of directors and, thanks to financial support, helped the club back on the road to success. From May 2006 to January 2012 she was President of FC Basel, making her the first woman to head a Swiss football club. In 2009 she withdrew from the operative business and took care of the youth work. She is the foundation president of the developing FCB campus for the next generation. The Basel youth campus was established by Oeri in 2010 to promote youth football in Basel in the long term. She was elected the first honorary president of FC Basel in 2012.

Oeri also runs the Toy Worlds Museum she has built .

Allegedly she supported the production of the film Das Parfum - The story of a murderer by Bernd Eichinger based on the novel " Das Parfum " by Patrick Süskind with ten million Swiss francs . She is also said to have supported the film Cloud Atlas der Wachowskis, in the credits of which she appears as an associate producer, as a patron.
