Gisela Thome

Gisela Thome (* 1938 in Düsseldorf ) is a German teacher and linguist and translation scholar. Until 2013 she was a private lecturer at the University of Saarland .

Life

Gisela Thome studied Romance studies, English, philosophy and education in Bonn and Saarbrücken. In 1967 she did her doctorate on the linguistic structure of France and completed her habilitation. After three years of school service, she worked from 1971 to 2013 as a research assistant and then as a private lecturer at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting at Saarland University. She also worked for ten semesters as a lecturer at the University of Magdeburg .
