The head of the moth is scaled close to it. The antennae are 2/3 as long as the fore wings. The trunk is moderately long and scaled at the base. The antenna base member ( scapus ) widens slightly distally . The labial palps are cylindrical and curved upwards. The fore wings are lanceolate and sometimes have two incomplete ligaments and two opposing spots in front of the apex . The hind wings are very narrow and about a third as wide as the fore wings.

The uncus is missing in the males , the tegumen is very short and narrowly triangular. The blades are asymmetrically divided into two lobes. They have a different shape and have coarse bristles distally. The vinculum is ribbon-shaped. The aedeagus is long and sclerotized , cornuti are absent.

In the females, the anal papillae are fused and sclerotized. The apophyses are long and strong, both pairs are of equal length. The ostium is large and offset to the left at the anterior edge of the seventh sternite . The genital plate is complex and has a number of curved and severely sclerotized folds on the ostium. The ductus bursae is membranous and sometimes has a sclerotized inner ligament. The corpus bursae is either membranous or has a fine network-like structure. The sign is tooth-shaped.
