Gitta Kahle
Birgitta "Gitta" Kahle Härter (born June 11, 1963 in Bremen ) is a German jazz musician ( alto and tenor saxophone , composition).
Live and act
Kahle, who has lived in Switzerland since 1984, studied saxophone at the Lucerne Jazz School ; Temporarily she taught at the Conservatory for Music in Biel . Together with Eliane Cueni , she founded the Eliane Cueni / Gitta Kahle Quintet in 1992 , with whom she toured numerous times in Switzerland, Germany and Czechoslovakia and released three albums since 1994. In 2004 she founded her own quintet, which u. a. worked with Erik Truffaz and also performed in Germany. In recent years she has led a band with Harald Haerter . There were also concerts with the dancer Zenta Haerter in Germany.
