Plainisphare

Plainisphare was an independent Swiss jazz label that was active in Vich in the canton of Vaud between 1982 and 2011 . Plainisphare had been a distributor since 1974 . Operators Jef Duplain and Rolf Knüsel concentrated their label activities in particular on jazz in French-speaking Switzerland. The label has released 137 LPs and CDs.

Plainisphare has albums by Swiss jazz musicians of various styles such as François Lindemann , Christy and Dave Doran , Raymond Court , Léon Francioli , Urs Blöchlinger , René Bottlang , Erik Truffaz , Jacques Demierre , Jean-François Bovard , Pascal Auberson , Thierry Lang , Maurice Magnoni , Moncef Genoud , Albin Brun and Heiri Känzig , but also published by Terry Riley ( No Man's Land ), John Tchicai , Albert Mangelsdorff , Joëlle Léandre , Abdullah Ibrahim and Archie Shepp .
