Patrice Moret
Patrice Moret (born June 17, 1972 in Aigle VD ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( double bass ).
Act
Patrice Moret is classically trained as a double bass player. He has worked as a sideman with Jérôme Berney, Luca Stoll and Gilbert Paeffgen since the late 1990s . With the trio of Christoph Stiefel , several albums were made by 2008; he also recorded with Thierry Lang , with Gitta Kahle and with Malcolm Braff . Since 2004 he has been a member of Colin Vallon's trio . For many years he has also been a member of Nicolas Masson's quartet and Elina Duni's quartet , with whom - as well as Vallon - various albums were created for ECM . He can also be heard on albums by Ann Malcolm , Gitta Kahle, Domenic Landolf , Martin Koller , Tomas Sauter , Sknail, Lisette Spinnler and Gabriel Zufferey .
In addition, Moret teaches bass at the Bern University of the Arts .
