Harald Haerter
Harald Haerter (born July 12, 1958 in Zurich ) is a Swiss jazz guitarist.
Haerter studied from 1980 to 1984 at Berklee College of Music and with John Scofield . In 1985 he founded the Intergalactic Maidenballet , with which he toured Europe and recorded several albums: In 1985 an album of the same name was recorded, which was released by ITM , the other productions Squaredance (1989) and Gulf (1994) included, for example. With Dewey Redman he founded a quintet in 1994, which performed more than 150 concerts a. a. performed with Erik Truffaz , Arthur Blythe , Johannes Enders , Joe Lovano and Nils Petter Molvær . After the saxophonist Michael Brecker had heard Haerter's album Mostly Live , he invited him to a European tour in 1997 and organized an international concert series with him in 1999. His band Catscan currently includes Gitta Kahle and Hilaria Kramer .
