Giuseppe Brentano
Giuseppe Brentano (born April 14, 1862 in Milan ; † December 31, 1889 there ) was an Italian architect.
Brentano studied with Luca Beltrami in Milan and at the end of his short life worked in Carl von Hasenauer's studio . His greatest success was winning the competition to redesign the facade of Milan Cathedral in 1888 . Brentano presented a purely neo-Gothic project, partly based on Carlo Buzzi , but without towers. The project remained unrealized. Brentano died of a lung disease. A separate room is dedicated to his projects and models in the Milan Cathedral Museum.
