Giuseppe Brizi (born March 19, 1942 in Macerata ) is an Italian football player and coach . He played in the position of libero .
Career
Giuseppe Brizi began his career in his hometown with AC Maceratese . For the 1962/63 season, the Libero moved to Serie A club Fiorentina . As a result, he remained loyal to the viola for a total of 14 seasons until the end of his career. In the 1965/66 season Brizi made the leap into the regular formation for the first time, where he was able to assert himself until shortly before the end of his career. During this time, Fiorentina won a total of four titles, including the second Scudetto in the club's history under Bruno Pesaola in 1968/69 . At the end of the 1976/77 season, Brizi ended his active career at his home club Maceratese.
This was followed by coaching engagements at Maceratese, the SS Lanciano and the US Fermana .
