Giuseppe Bruni
Giuseppe Bruni (* 1827 in Trieste , Austrian Empire ; † August 18, 1877 in Trieste , Austria-Hungary ) was an Italian engineer and architect of historicism .
Life
Giuseppe Bruni was born in Trieste in 1827 as the son of Angelo Bruni and Teresa (née Coretti). After attending the Venice Art Academy , Bruni first worked in the maritime and civil construction industry in his hometown. From 1870 he participated as an architect in the planning of the Piazza Grande . Massimiliano d'Angeli , then Mayor of Trieste , commissioned him in 1872 with his eclectic design for the town hall to be built. Bruni died in 1877 at the age of 50.
