(3449) Abell is an asteroid of the main belt , the American US from the November 7, 1978 astronomer Eleanor Helin and scolding John bus at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American astronomer George Ogden Abell (1927–1983).
