Giuseppe Maria Revel
Giuseppe Maria Revel , also Joseph Maria Revell, Count and Lord of Turri Uzo near Asti, (* 1651 in Fareliani, Piemont (Italy); † date and place unknown) was a doctor, professor of botany in Turin and member of the academy of scholars " Leopoldina " .
Giuseppe Maria Revel was a general practitioner in Carcari and Alteri in Genoese . He was then Physicus of the city of Alban, Count Palatine, Knight and Imperial Councilor. He was appointed professor of botany at the University of Turin. He became a city physician in Turin . Giuseppe Maria Revel, accompanied by Claudius Philipp Grimaldi, traveled to Warsaw, where he was honored with the appointment of personal physician to the King of Poland, John III. Sobieski , was awarded. Revel also became a Canonicus in Poznan .
On April 26, 1690, Giuseppe Maria Revel, Count and Lord of Turri Uzo near Asti, with the nickname ARISTOGENES II. Was accepted as a member ( registration number 176 ) in the Leopoldina .
