Giuseppe Paladini

Giuseppe Paladini or Paladino (* 1721 in Messina ; † January 3, 1794 ibid) was an Italian painter of the late Baroque in Sicily .

Life

Paladini received his training first from his uncle, Litterio Paladini , then in Rome in the workshop of Sebastiano Conca (1680–1764).

A painting secured by documents was preserved in Rome. Around 1730 he was back in Messina, where he mainly painted panels and frescoes for churches. Most of its frescoes were destroyed by the severe earthquake in Messina in 1908 .
