Giuseppe Tresca

Giuseppe Tresca (* 1710 in Sciacca , † 1795 in Palermo ) was an Italian painter of the late Baroque in Sicily .

Life

He received his basic artistic training from his father Calogero, a less important artist in Sciacca. He then went to Sebastiano Conca in Rome , one of the most important representatives of the classicist late baroque . Back in Sicily, Tresca received numerous commissions for frescoes and panel paintings . He was one of Giuseppe Velasco's teachers .
