Gjorgji Orovčanec

Gjorgji Orovčanec (in Cyrillic script : Ѓорѓи Оровчанец, ISO transliteration: Ǵorǵi Orovčanec, Serbian spelling: Đorđi Orovčanec ; born September 10, 1951 in Prilep ) is a Macedonian politician and doctor.

From 2001 to 2002 he was the Macedonian Minister of Health in Ljubčo Georgievski's cabinet . He has been a member of the Macedonian Parliament since 2002. He initially belonged to the VMRO-DPMNE , in 2004 he and Ljubčo Georgievski participated in a spin-off called VMRO-NP . In 2007 he left this party and founded the Nova Alternativa party , for which he was able to win a seat in parliament again in the electoral alliance "Sonne" (including with the SDSM ).

Gjorgji Orovčanec teaches as an assistant professor at the Chair of Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine at the University of Skopje .
