Glória de Sant'Anna (born May 26, 1925 in Lisbon , † June 2, 2009 in Válega ) was a Portuguese poet .

Life

Glória de Sant'Anna was born in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon in 1925 . In 1949 she married the architect Afonso Henriques Manta Andrade Paes (1924–1987). With this she lived from 1951 to 1974 in Mozambique , including in the places Pemba and Chimoio . During this time, but also after her return to Portugal, Glória de Sant'Anna wrote numerous works.

In 1961 she was awarded the Camilo Pessanha Prize for her literary work .

Glória de Sant'Anna died in 2009 at the age of 84 in the Portuguese port of Válega .
