Gløymdehorten ( translated from Norwegian, meaning forgotten nunatak ) is a nunatak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Hoelfjella it rises on the west side of the Horteriset hill, immediately west of the Weyprecht Mountains .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named the Nunatak, mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
