Happy is whoever gets Dunne (original title: Lycklig den som Dunne får ) is a children's book by the Swedish writer Rose Lagercrantz and the Swedish illustrator  Eva Eriksson .

It is the sixth volume in the Dunne series. In the book, Dunne spends the winter holidays with her grandparents. The longing for her best friend Ella Frida is great. She travels alone by train to distant Norrköping to surprise Ella Frida for her birthday. Topics such as family, friendship, love and adventure are dealt with.

Happy is whoever gets Dunne was published in Swedish by Bonnier Verlag in 2018 and in German by Moritz Verlag in the same year . It was translated into German by Angelika Kutsch .

Dunne is in second grade and is very happy about it. She keeps the seat next to her free, believing that her best friend Ella Frida, who moved to Norrköping a year earlier, will be back. When all the children paint in the drawing class, Knubbel, who is in love with Dunne, sits down next to them.

With the start of the winter holidays, Dunne's papa becomes sad. In order to get other thoughts, he decides to go alone to his family in Rome. Dunne is supposed to spend the holidays with her grandparents. Dunne spends her first day of vacation with her grandparents cross-country skiing. She got the idea to give her best friend Ella Frida the best birthday present. To herself. She promptly tells her grandmother about her plan to visit Ella Frida in Norrköping. After the grandparents tried to find a solution whether Dunne could visit Ella Frida, they decided that she should take the train to Norrköping by herself. While the grandmother arranges everything with Ella Frida's mom, Dunne packs her suitcase and small gifts for Ella Frida.

The train ride is calm. When she arrived in Norrköping, she was supposed to be greeted by a reception committee, which did not appear. In the lobby in Norrköping, Dunne remembers that Wanda, the friend of Dunne's dad, lives in Norrköping. Since she feels alone, she decides to call them. Wanda asks her sister, who is a police officer, to take care of Dunne. Until she reaches the train station, Dunne's cell phone is stolen by two big boys. Scared of the boys' big black dog, she hides under a bench. There she is found huddled by the policewoman. A short time later, Wanda joins them. The sisters are very worried that Dunne is alone in Norrköping without being picked up. They decide that Wanda should go back to Stockholm with Dunne. Dunne gets a severe sore throat. On the train, Dunne learns that Wanda and her papa were secretly engaged, but that they broke off the engagement. Once in Stockholm, Dunne feels exhausted and sick. While Dunne's grandmother is still busy with her bridge ladies, Wanda takes care of the sick Dunne.
