The Glacial Drumlin State Trail in the US state of Wisconsin is a so-called Viá Verde , a bike or hiking trail on a disused railway line , and was inaugurated in 1986. It stretches for 68.7 kilometers from Cottage Grove in Dane County to Waukesha .

The name Drumlin refers to elongated hills with a teardrop-shaped floor plan , the longitudinal axis of which lies in the direction of the ice movement of an Ice Age glacier .
