Sugar River State Trail

The Sugar River State Trail is a 23 miles long long distance hiking trail in the US state of Wisconsin . It begins in New Glarus and runs through Monticello and Albany to Brodhead . The surface is made of limestone .

flora

Cattails and reeds can be found along the way in the wetlands . Oak , hickory , walnuts and cherries can be found in the forest areas . Also suitable Rhus , elder and willow before.

fauna

Along the way live beavers , foxes , deer , rabbits , coyotes , moles , mink , bobcats , shrews , skunks and woodchucks and real earth , gray and chipmunks . There are also different types of snakes , turtles and salamanders as well as more than 100 different species of birds .
