The Glasbach is a 1.156 kilometer long stream and left tributary of the Wupper in the Wuppertal district of Cronenberg . It is one of the larger streams in the Burgholz State Forest .

topography

The stream rises at around 251 meters above sea level southwest of the Cronenberg district of Küllenhahn near the educational facility of the Paritätisches Bildungswerk , located in the forest , which served the German Red Cross's maternal convalescence organization until the 1960s . It initially flows southwest, after about 365 meters from the left it gets a 66-meter-long nameless body of water and turns in a westerly direction through the Burgholz arboretum with the focus on European and Asian trees. 280 meters further, after having passed under a hiking trail with pipes, the Glasbach receives an inflow from the right from the 562 meter long glass sieve .

After around 1000 meters from the source, the Glasbach runs under the Landesstraße 74 pipes and flows into the Wupper at around 136 meters above sea level at the Buchenhofen sewage treatment plant .
