The Glashüttenstraße in the district center Düren ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a city road . It is located in the Düren-Nord district .

location

The road begins on Paradiesstrasse and ends on Rurstrasse . It leads past the side of the slaughterhouse and the former power station of Stadtwerke Düren . The former Peill & Putzler glassworks, which was opened in 1903 and is now listed, is located on the street .

history

The private path leading past the factories was initially called Glasstraße by a resolution of the city council on January 4, 1903 , but changed to Glashüttenstraße on December 16, 1903 . The expansion had already been decided six months beforehand.
