The Glasowbach runs between the Selchower See and the Rangsdorfer See , whose only major tributary it forms.
It is part of the Glasowbach lowland nature reserve , declared in 2009, with a size of around 92 hectares .
The Glasowbach initially runs west of its eponymous place Glasow, which is part of the municipality of Mahlow, which in turn forms a district of Blankenfelde-Mahlow . In the further course it forms the eastern border of the district of Blankenfelde.
Behind Blankenfelde it flows through the former Blankenfelder See , which was an open body of water until the 1930s. In the meantime it has silted up due to a drop in the water level and forms an elongated fen area . The nature trail “Around the Blankenfelder See” is located in this area .
It flows into the Krumme Lanke, a northern bulge of the Rangsdorf lake.
