Beckstedt is a district of the municipality Colnrade in the combined municipality of Harpstedt in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg .
Geography and transport links
The place is located 2 km northeast of Colnrade and 10 km southwest of Harpstedt .
The Beckstedter Bach , a right tributary of the Hunte, which runs 2 km to the west, flows south of the village .
Beckstedt is on line 232 of the Delmenhorst-Harpstedter Railway .

Culture and sights
Beckstedt is known nationwide for the Beckstedt Sun Stone , an approximately 90 cm high plate made of reddish granite , on the flat front of which eleven concentric circles are incorporated around a central bowl. The original of the sun stone has been in the Archaeological State Museum Schloss Gottorf in Schleswig since 2004 . There is a replica at the Beckstedt bus stop. The municipality of Colnrade has an image of the stone in its coat of arms.
