Glenn Heights is a city in Ellis Counties and Dallas Counties in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located about 30 km south of Dallas in southern Dallas County, extends into northern Ellis County and has a total area of 18.2 km 2 without any significant water surface.
Demographic data
According to the 2000 census, 7,224 people in 2,356 households and 1,917 families lived here. The population density was 397.3 people per km 2 . The racial the population was composed of 66.65% White, 25.12% African American, 0.78% Native American, 0.39% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, and 5.08% other ethnic groups. About 1.87% were mixed race and 15.74% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
