The Glingebachtalsperre (or Glingetalsperre) is the lower basin of the Rönkhausen pumped storage plant in Finnentrop - Rönkhausen near Plettenberg , North Rhine-Westphalia . The Glingebach (or the Glinge) is dammed here in a 750 m long reservoir .
The pumped storage power plant was put into operation in 1969 and is used to generate peak electricity . The upper basin is connected to the power house at the Glingebach dam via a pressure tunnel . The Elektromark Kommunales Elektrizitätswerk Mark AG ( Mark E AG ) operates the power plant.
After the storage space, the Glingetalsperre is the smallest dam in the Siegen-Olpe region in the area of the State Environment Agency Siegen.
