Bell in Chartuzac

The bell in the church of St-Vincent in Chartuzac , a French commune in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was cast in 1696 in the Roch und Pillet bell foundry . The church bell of bronze is as since 1911 Monument historique classified.

It has the following inscription: “STE VINCENTI ORA PRO NOBIS. BENIE PAR MRE FRANÇOIS MONSNEREAU CURE DE CE LIEU PARAIN MRE CLAUDE DE ST SIMON CHEVALLIER SEIGNEUR DE MONBLERN ET CHARTUSA TUGERAS ET VILLESAUSER MARAINE DAME FRANÇOISE DE IOIGNY EN 1696 ”.
