A Glockschläger ( bell for short ) is a student fencing weapon that is used in the scale length . The name-giving feature is the bell-shaped hand guard.

distribution

These cutting weapons were and are mainly used at universities in eastern Germany (e.g. Halle (Saale) , Leipzig , Dresden , Tharandt , Freiberg , Berlin and Greifswald , formerly also Königsberg , Breslau and Danzig ). At the time of the GDR , the bell striker was the only common scale weapon in West Berlin . Elsewhere, basketball clubs are used to fight.
