Gloria Dourass

Gloria Dourass (married Rickard; born November 13, 1944 ) is a former British middle-distance runner and sprinter .

In 1966 she was eighth over 440 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston and fifth with the 4-by-110-yard Welsh relay. Over 220 yards she was eliminated in the semifinals and over 100 yards in the preliminary run.

At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 she was fourth in the 800 m , at the World Cross Country Championships in 1973 in Waregem she came in 70th place, and at the British Commonwealth Games in 1974 in Christchurch she reached the semi-finals over 400 m .

In 1966 she became English indoor champion over 440 yards. She was seven times Welsh champion over 400 m (1964-1967, 1970, 1975, 1976) or 440 yards and once in cross country (1971).
