Gołanice (2009)

Gołanice (German Gollmitz ) is a village in Poland in the Greater Poland Voivodeship . It belongs to the Powiat Leszczyński in the municipality of Święciechowa .

geography

The village is about five kilometers northwest of Święciechowa. Lake Krzycko Wielkie, which is used as a bathing lake, is located northeast of the village .

history

The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1412 as a manor. It was the seat of the Gołaniecki family of the Kotwicz family . In the 17th century the place passed to the Leszczyńskis , before it came to Stanisław Krzycki in 1782 and then to the Skórzewski family.

The first written record of a church comes from 1454. The wooden church was either destroyed by fire in the first half of the 17th century or collapsed due to old age. A new church dedicated to the Apostle Andrew was built. This collapsed in 1776. The current late baroque church was donated by Stanisław Krzycki and completed in 1782. They were dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul . In September 1939 the place was occupied by the Wehrmacht during the attack on Poland and became part of the Reichsgau Wartheland . Since 1945 the place has been part of Poland again.

Culture and sights

The late baroque church of the village was built in 1782. The complex includes a wall that was built at the end of the 19th or mid-20th century, a column depicting Johannes Nepomuk from the end of the 18th century and the rectory from 1913.

Also worth seeing is a courtyard from the early 19th century with stables, servants' quarters and a landscape park.

Gołanice is on the road from Leszno to Boszkowo . There are regular bus connections to Leszno via Święciechowa and to Boszkowo.

There is no rail connection. The nearest train station is in Leszno.

The nearest international airport is Poznan-Ławica Airport , about 65 kilometers to the northeast.

In 2007, 33 agricultural enterprises with an average associated area of ​​four hectares were registered in Gołanice. 16 companies cultivated an area of ​​up to 5 hectares, only three an area of ​​over 15 hectares.
