The Gobba di Rollin ( Gobba (ital.) = Hump, hump, double . Dos de Rollin ) is 3899 m above sea level. M. the highest point of the Breithorn plateau . At 85 m high, the mountain forms an independent, flat glacier peak that is insignificant for mountaineering.
With a height of 3899 m , Gobba di Rollin is the highest point of a European ski area, the Theodul Glacier has its origin here. Gobba di Rollin is on the border between Switzerland and Italy . The plateau begins at the Klein Matterhorn , extends to Gobba di Rollin and then drops off steeply on the Italian side. Often one also counts the south side of the Breithorn as part of the plateau, although that side to the summit ( 4164 m ) rises slightly.
Two ski lifts lead to Gobba di Rollin, both on the Swiss side.
