The Golubaya Bay ( English , Russian Бухта Голубая Buchta Golubaja , German 'Himmelblaue Bucht' ) is a small bay off the Princess Astrid coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located at the southeast end of Kamenev Bight within the ice shelf off the coast .
Aerial photographs taken during the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) between 1958 and 1959 were used to map them. Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition carried out further mapping and descriptive naming in 1961. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated the latter into English in 1970.
