Gong Ruina
Gong Ruina ( Chinese 龔睿那 / 龚睿那 , Pinyin Gōng Ruìnà ; born January 23, 1981 in Anhua , Yiyang , Hunan Province ) is a badminton player from the People's Republic of China .
Gong participated in badminton at the 2004 Olympics for China. In the women's singles, she defeated Li Li from Singapore and Salakjit Ponsana from Thailand in the first two rounds . Gong Cheng beat Shao-Chieh from Taiwan 11: 3, 11: 3 in the quarter - finals to advance to the semi-finals. There she was defeated by Mia Audina from the Netherlands 11: 4, 11: 2. Gong lost in the so-called “consolation final” against her Chinese compatriot Zhou Mi 11: 2, 8:11, 11: 6, whereby she was “ungrateful fourth” of the overall competition. However, she won the women's singles at the Badminton Swiss Open that year.
