Brunei Open 1998
The Brunei Open 1998 are the last open international championships of Brunei in badminton . They took place from July 8th to July 12th, 1998 in Bandar Seri Begawan . In the following years, Brunei established itself as the host of the Grand Prix Finals and thus hosted the top-class tournament after the World Cup and the Olympics. The prize money was $ 80,000, which helped the tournament to three-star status in the Grand Prix.
